Fall Festivities

Do you love fall? I do. I love the weather, the colors, and the festivities. Here are pictures of trick-or-treat night in "the bottom" and trunk-or-treat night at church. Jaxon in his costume

Garran, too old to have a costume
:(

I like this picture because I think it shows that Jaxon is a good combination of Randy and me.

Good Times

No, I don't mean the 1970's sitcom. We've really been having some good times of our own.
And of course I have pictures of it all.
My newest Sister-in-Christ and I had a ball at our ladies get-together at church!
Love ya, Nikki!

I introduced Jaxon to the wonderful world of a bubble bath by candle light!

My boys don't have ballgames and practice to rush to every evening so they can play together like brothers!

Jaxon stills likes the games and machines at the grocery store and restaurants. I'm just now realizing that kids out grow this too (along with so many other activities), therefore we don't have to worry about wasting a dollar!

I took my students on the best field trip ever!
Camp Nathanael

After nine years of waiting...we have carpet in the basement!

Not sure what channel that was.
We haven't decided how we're going to hang/position the t.v. yet.

Don't let the gym equipment fool you. I don't work out, but I like having the equipment just in case the mood hits me.

These are Good Times!
The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
Psalm 126:3

Yes, we've experienced some recent illnesses (Randy & Garran), but I've been learning in my Sunday School class to focus on the positive, so that's what I decided to blog about. And you know what? It really does work. Focusing on the positive makes you a more positive person. Lord knows I needed that!

Philippians 4:8
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Happy Birthday, Garran!

My boy is 15! He is so special. If you know him, you love him. He is charismatic. He has been to five different schools and at every school his teachers fall in love with him. He knows so much about history and geography. He amazes me! He's a wonderful basketball player even though he doesn't realize it. He's handsome, but I think he knows that! lol Most importantly, he knows and fears the Lord. A good fear, a reverential fear. I am so grateful that the Lord has allowed me to be his mom. I am most grateful that the Lord has saved his soul when he was just 8 years old and continues to work in his life. Thank you, Jesus! And I love you, Garran!

Family Reunion

Deuteronomy 6:1-2
Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

My Parents
I suppose Labor Day weekend is the weekend that many families host their reunions and this year the Reynolds family did as well. Actually the Reynolds family gets together every year, but this year we actually got together on Labor Day weekend. It was a smaller crowd than usual. My grandmother was too ill to make the trip (10 hours from Michigan) and I suppose that was what kept a lot of the others from joining us. We did make the most of it and I captured a few photos of the event.

Callie and Garran
(They've really grown up together)

Trey and Jaxon
(Being good sports)

The Reynolds Grandkids
(Although none of them carry on the name ~ that's what happens when you have daughters)

Jaxon and Cole

The best part of a family reunion is discovering a cousin for the first time.

And they live just a few counties away!

Lots of food.

Some lodging.

Prayer and music, both praises to the Lord!

This is the part of the Reynolds reunion that has changed over the years.

I praise you, Jesus for your saving power.

Beth Moore Simulcast

Our church hosted the Beth Moore Simulcast this weekend and it was great! I love it when God has been speaking something to me and then He confirms it with scripture and others! I have so much that I want to share about this event, but I also want to take time and meditate on what the Lord did this weekend. So, for now I have pictures and soon I'll have words.

Stephanie and her Daughter

I do believe that Stephanie is doing this mothering thing right!

And this is my new friend, Tonia with me after I cried all of my make-up off. What can I say? I'm a crier. I cry when I'm happy, sad, mad, grateful, scared, you name it. Today I cried totally out of love and gratitude for everything Jesus has done for me. For saving me, for transforming me, for saving my children, for showing me that I can TRUST Him!
Oops, I'm starting with the words.
Going to meditate.

Lowell & Sue

Lowell & Sue are still at the Life Care Center. Their daughter is with them now and she will be there through Sunday. Both Sue and Lowell are so precious. They have the best attitude and Sue was constantly praising the Lord for working everything out for them. If you get a chance to visit with them you will be blessed. The Life Care Center was easy to find (with the right directions). Let me know if you would like more information on how to reach them. Look at the building below, isn't it beautiful?

August 10th

A special day for many reasons.
Another milestone reached and we have the Lord to thank! Jaxon is officially in the third grade and Garran is officially a high school freshman. I am officially OLD.

Mom and Dad celebrated their 41st anniversary and Melissa celebrated her 40th birthday (actually Melissa is officially OLD).

Gran-Daddy telling Garran that he's not too big for hugs.

Gran-Mommy making us dinner.

I'm so very grateful for it all.
